Nine Odisha umpires qualify for Level-I Course

A total of 32 candidates from four states cricket associations, including nine from Odisha Cricket Association (OCA), have qualified to attend the Refresher Course-cum-Examination for Level-I Umpires, which is scheduled to be hosted by Vidarbha Cricket Association (VCA) at Nagpur on June 6 and 7, 2017.

The nine OCA Panel Umpires are: Partha Patnaik, Durga Dutta Das, Asit Kumar Pal, Pramod Narayan Dash, Rajesh Kumar Mohapatra, Sambeet Pattanayak, Amit Amitabh Mahakud, Pritiranjan Bijaysingh and Niranjan Patri. The 32 candidated attainded qualification after successfully completing necessary examination, which was conducted in 2016.

According to Dr M V Sridhar, General Manager, Cricket Operations, Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), V M Bandiwadekar and Ganesh Iyer will be the teaching faculty for the upcoming Nagpur course. BCCI will provide lodging and boarding besides a daily allowance of Rs 750 per day for four days to outstation candidates.

From Chhattisgarh SCS: Nitin Kathwar, Jirag Bavaria, Vishal Singhania.
